“Bakes, Beaks, and Brews” is the brainchild of many the bird adventure. 

On days when the birding is priority there tends to be a rush to leave the house with reckless abandon, most likely forgoing breakfast or any sort of sustenance. We frantically search while following the GPS to a new birding hotspot for any place that may be open before dawn to meet the needs of the sleepy eyes and empty stomachs. most likely bakeries or donut shops.

After gorging, we reach the birding location with sugar highs giddy and excited for what we’ll see and hear today.

When the wind, rain, sleet, or sun start to get the best of us and the “hangries” creep in, we head for the car, forlorn with thoughts of “the one who flew away.” 

We’ll cheer up and swap stories over a snack and a brew.
